When three or more teams are tied, the following WBC guidelines apply:

lowest ratio of the number of defensive outs recorded in games between the tied teams divided by the fewest runs allowed.

lowest ratio of the number of defensive outs recorded in games between the tied teams divided by the fewest earned runs allowed.

highest batting average in games between the tied clubs in that round.
